Dear Fellow Hams, Friends, and Vendors:

On behalf of the Nutmeg Hamfest Board (LINK TO BOARD PAGE), I’m delighted to welcome you to the Nutmeg Hamfest Alliance’s (NHA) new website. We are proud to be the Connecticut State Amateur Radio Convention and hope you will join us on Sunday October 11 for our 34th annual hamfest on Sunday October 11, at Maloney High School (off interstate I-91 in Meriden).

This year‘s Hamfest will include many special features, including six lectures, a VE Session and two meetings: the annual Connecticut Regional CERT/EMCOMM meeting, and the annual ARRL State of the Organization presentation. Free code plug programming for your HT is offered again, as well as door and other raffle prizes, hot food, and other activities. Please see the flyer (LINK TO FLYER) on our homepage. More information will be made available as the date approaches.

Many changes have occurred this past year for the Nutmeg Hamfest Alliance. Sadly, our founder and leader, John B passed (N1GNV/SK). Pictures and remembrances of him are found elsewhere on this website (LINK). He will be missed – but he will not be forgotten. An annual Memorial Lectureship has been established in his name. We are pleased and honored to announce that the first John B Memorial Lecturer will be Dave Minster NA2AA, ARRL CEO.

We are dedicated to making sure that the hours that you share with us on that Sunday morning will be time well-spent and will further your knowledge and enjoyment of amateur radio. Admission is $10; kids under 18 are admitted free. Vendor and tailgating information, and contact information details are listed on the Flyer (LINK TO FLYER).

If you have any questions, you can contact us via our email address: nutmeghamfest@gmail.com

We hope to see you there!

73,

Ed W1YSM
